Announcing new reward tiers and a deal for backers outside of Europe (United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand)

New Reward Tiers: t-shirts and merch for digital readers

Thanks to backer feedback over on Kickstarter, last Friday I introduced three new reward tiers for those excited about the t-shirt featuring Francesco Tomaseli’s issue 3 cover which we’ve introduced as a reward item for this campaign.

A product mock-up of a black t-shirt. On the t-shirt is a print: it is comic cover with the logo "Zip" at the top. The art is of a woman in goggles and a tracksuit inspired superhero costume running at super speed, with buildings blurring behind her. Below the cover is a URL: zip comic dot co dot uk.

These new reward tiers are:

  • A digital copy of Zip #4 and our new t-shirt
  • A digital bundle of Zip #1, Zip #2, Zip #3, and Zip #4, our new t-shirt
  • A digital bundle of Zip #1, Zip #2, Zip #3, and Zip #4, plus all of our merch (stickers, A3 poster, t-shirt, and smartphone wallpapers)

As these reward tiers include physical reward items, the new special deal for international backers outside of Europe applies! Details coming later in this update: read on for more info.

As always, if this new information means that you would like to amend your pledge in any way, feel free to message me if you need assistance with that.

A product mock up with a t-shirt overlaying three tablets displaying different comic covers. One cover depicts a busy bar scene, the next cover depicts a woman running at superspeed with buildings blurring past her, and the next cover displays the woman next to a hooded figure wielding a knife. The pair are stood in front of a huge clock. The artwork on the t-shirt is of the woman running, with lightning crackling around her.
A product mock up with a t-shirt to the right of four tablets displaying different comic covers. One cover depicts a woman in googles and a superhero costume based on the design of a tracksuit. She is running away from a huge shadow monster wearing a suit. The next cover displays the woman's leg in the foreground, as if she is in a Western style standoff. In the background we see her foe: a shirtless man wielding a bo staff. The next cover sees the woman running with lighting cracking around her, and the fourth cover depicts the woman running at superspeed with buildings blurring past her. The artwork on the t-shirt is the same as on the third comic cover.

There are ten smartphone wallpapers and seven stickers.

Special Deal for Backers Outside Europe

As a someone based in the United Kingdom and a frequent backer of Kickstarter campaigns based in the United States, I know it well: international postage costs suck.

It can be a real catch-22 situation because for the creator, postage costs are also very high. Prohibitively so for an independent creator.

Because of this, I’m introducing a special deal for backers outside of Europe, including those backers from

  • The United States
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

Backers from these countries will receive our A3 poster FREE whenever they pledge to a tier with a physical reward.

This will apply retroactively. So if you already pledged prior to this update? This means you too!

If you’re backing from within the UK or Europe and you’d like our A3 poster, you can get it by selecting one of our merch tiers (they all say ‘merch’ in the title), or by selecting an A3 poster as your add-on when you pledge to any physical reward tier.

We understand international postage costs can make it difficult for backers outside of Europe to take advantage of our physical rewards. In recognition of the extra charges all backers with print rewards in The United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will receive a free A3 poster with their pledge. Everyone else will still be able to get our a3 poster with a pledge to one of our ‘merch’ reward tiers, or by selecting it as an add-on.
International Royal Mail fees are royal pain!

Oh, and if you’ve backed from an eligible country and your pledge already includes an A3 poster, you’ll receive a second A3 poster free!

Once again:, if this new information means that you would like to amend your pledge in any way, feel free to message me if you need assistance with that.

Backers outside of Europe can get their FREE A3 poster over at Kickstarter.

With 86% funding, our goal is within arm’s reach!

THANK YOU, everyone!

Once again, I direct your attention to the line graph:

As you can see, we’re making great progress!

If we keep going at this momentum, I predict that we will have reached or surpassed our goal by the 7th of October.

Can we make it? The general trend suggests that we absolutely can!

So if you believe in Zip (and the data shows that you amazing backers do) share this campaign with your friends and family and we’ll make it for sure!
