A comic about imperfect superhumans (secretly about disability).

Zip #3 Cyber Monday Sale! Plus: Bodies 2 photos, and a convention announcement

Hi everyone,

The Kickstarter campaign for Zip issue 3 is coming to a close in 5 days! If you haven’t already got your copy of our longest, most action packed issue to-date, don’t miss our Cyber Monday Sale: all day on December the 2nd!

A photo composite of our three issues' main covers. Text reads: "Cyber Monday Sale, 50 percent of all digital reward tiers, starts December the 2nd, 12am GMT, ends December the 3rd, 5am GMT." At the bottom of the image is a Kickstarter logo.

Beginning at 12am GMT the day of Cyber Monday (December the 2nd) and ending on 5am GMT on December the 3rd, you’ll save 50% on all of our digital reward tiers in the sale.

Bodies 2

In the mean time, I thought I’d share some photos from Bodies 2, which was a resounding success! I mentioned that I’d just spoken there in a previous update but I forgot to really say all that much about what happened at the day itself.

Bodies 2 collected some anonymous feedback from guests, and were kind enough to share some of the feedback they got about my panel:

“New perspectives on disabilities from Mike Scrase’s fab talk.”

“I spoke to an author with a disability which was interesting and informative.”

“The comic / superhuman talk really spoke out to me.”

After the talk was done, I had a table selling Zip comics in the great hall. I was so busy with people queueing up at my table, I was talking to people and signing comics all day. I didn’t even have time to finish my lunch!

If you missed the event, I’m told that audio recordings of guests’ panels will be available soon, so look out for more info about that in a future update!
