A comic about imperfect superhumans (secretly about disability).

Late pledges available for Zip #4

Zip Issue 3 Launches on 6th November! Exclusive Limited Time Rewards!

We’re one week away from our third Kickstarter campaign! This one is our longest, most action packed, and best issue yet.

If you’re just hearing about us for the first time Zip is a Bristol based independent comic book, which uses superheroes as an analogy for disability. We’re returning to crowdfunding platform Kickstarter this autumn.

Issue three tackles generative AI and the effect it is having on entertainment, the arts, and humanity.

In this new instalment: a megacorporation has created a nanobot collective named The Hive. It is designed to analyse consumer goods by atomising them, and then rebuild new products for the market with the training data they’ve amassed.

But in their rush to present The Hive to their investors, they neglected to address The Hive’s greatest flaw. It has escaped: and identified a prime target for cannibalisation – human beings!

Black and white comic art in a gritty style with heavy inks. A cyborg with three miniguns for an arm is firing at a speedster superheroine and man in a hoodie. They are running from it and the man in the hoodie is launching blasts of fire at the cyborg from his hand.
Hive constructed cyborgs hunt prey for their nanobot units to consume

Those The Hive assimilates are enveloped by a swarm of drones, tearing away flesh and turning bones to ash. From those ashes rises a soulless, part-machine part-monster, wearing the faces of those The Hive has killed.

When Zip clashes with The Hive, she faces her most dangerous foe yet. And when The Hive encounters her it will not rest until it has stolen her powers and exterminated her.

Will Zip survive? Your pledge can turn the tide!

Zip is a comic which is proudly the result of 100% human creative talent. STRIKE BACK against The Hive by supporting human artists. Help us to bring this comic alive and tell the machines humanity isn’t going out quietly.

The Hive are coming. Don’t let them win without a fight.
