As you may have heard, Zip is now being published by Markosia!
This means that from today issue 1 of Zip is now available to be downloaded and read on Kindle E-Readers, Kindle Fire Tablets, or on computers, tablets and smartphone with a free Kindle Reading app!
Plus: the same is soon to be true of issue 2 of Zip as well, which became available for preorder yesterday, and will be released on the 16th of April!
If you missed either of our first two Kickstarter campaigns this is your chance to read Zip in digital format! On the other hand, if you backed one of our first two campaigns, you might like to know that Markosia have included the backer acknowledgements which also appear in the Kickstarter exclusive editions of the comic.
So anyone who buys the comic will see your name and the fact you helped bring it to life! Just a little incentive to tell your friends to buy it for their Kindle/Kindle app.

And of course, if you’ve read the comic whether you’re new to it or you’ve backed one our campaigns, we’d really appreciate it if you left a review.
What does this mean for the future of Zip?
I’ve written an FAQ on Zip’s website which was long in the making that I hope covers everything comprehensively, but to summarise:
- Due to the costs involved in making new issues of Zip, we’ll still be funding those through new Kickstarter campaigns (watch this space for those)
- Markosia only distribute print comics as longform trade paperbacks (40 pages or more). So print editions of individual issues of Zip will remain exclusive to Kickstarter backers.
- Even though new issues of Zip will now be published digitally by Markosia, Kickstarter backers will always be the first to receive them before they’re released on Amazon.
- Trade paperbacks of collected issues of Zip may become available in the future if we make enough instalments to add to one (see FAQ for more details)
Print rewards, incoming!

I also have print proofs for Zip #2 and our other physical rewards (stickers and a poster) on the way to me in the post from our regular printer Stuart Lloyd Gould.
Stuart’s own Kickstarter campaign, for an autobiographical comic about his nervous breakdown, has just four days left to go! Stuart has been an active member of the UK independent comics scene for a very long time, so I urge you to check out his book!
There’ll be another update (with pics) when I have those print proofs!
